Moondancer Recording Studios
This band started out in 1986 with the original singer A. Donato
and song writer/guitarrist Gabriel Sierra. We, since the
begining, started working on original material, recording ideas
as they appeared and exploring new sounds. The songs that
were spawned by those late night sessions were nothing
similar to anything we have heard before. Songs like "Rush Warriors",
"Radioactive", and "Memories" are examples of hard edged rock. But others,
like
"Time" explored medieval sounds and combined them with the heavy guitar
sound
and baroque flute on the pasive moments. Hard to describe. Our motivation
as a
band? adventure! In "Rush Warriors" for example, we describe the perils
of
working as a delivery people (we worked at a local pizza joint). "Time"
deals with
magic and time travel. And so forth. The band was later joined by drummer
Gilberto Manzano and the three of us developed more original material,
around 20
songs. With the vanishing of A.Donato in the early 90's, the band development
entered an hiatus that lasted until last year, when G. Sierra and Gil Manzano
reunited and picked up were we left of with the addition of bassist Xavier..
The
sound of the band have matured since the original lineup and we are working
in
new material. "Skin Touch" is one of the newest addition to the Highlander
music
variety. It takes a more dark approach and can be considered gothic to
some
